Auditions / Casting
Below are the upcoming shows OFP is currently in the process of casting. Simply follow the link below for the show you would like to participate in and complete the application form. Please note that a separate application is required for each show you wish to apply for. You may also submit multiple applications for the same show or event if you would like to be considered for multiple performances.
Casting decisions will be made based on a number of factors. OFP will reach out to selected cast on an individual basis for each show. Please note that submitting a performer application does not guarantee a casting selection. If selected, a signed performer agreement may be required to finalize and confirm your casting selection.
Additionally, much of OFP's communication surrounding our shows is conducted via Telegram. Though not required to perform with us, having a Telegram account is encouraged. You can find more information about Telegram at: telegram.org
Stage Crew / Production Crew
Interested in joining the stage crew or production crew for one of our shows? Let us know via the Contact Form and include which show(s) you are interested in along with any relevant experience. Most roles are on a volunteer basis and may span stagehand duties, stage management, videography, sound operator/sound technician duties, and/or other running crew duties. However, volunteering will often include admission to the event or venue depending on the specifics of the show in question.

Otterly Fierce Alumni
These amazing talents may no longer be stomping our stages, but they will always be Otterly Fierce! We would like to recognize our Alumni Cast & Crew who have brought their light to our OFP family and hope that our paths may cross again soon!
Our Values
Our Values are the code we operate by. They embody what we hold true and the positive energy we try to put into the world!
There is beauty in everyone. All shapes, all sizes, all genders, sexualities, and presentations, we are all valid.
We are all stars on this stage. New and experienced performers alike, we build each other up and shine our brightest together.
Though we may be Otterly Fierce, we are not Otterly Entitled. Stepping on the stage does not make us better than anyone else nor entitled to special treatment.
Nails, hair, hips, heels... and whatever else we need to dazzle and delight. We are professional and come ready to wow the crowd as soon as the curtain rises.
You can never have too many shoes! 😜
Stage Etiquette & Guidelines
The success of any production, large or small, depends on everyone behind the scenes doing their part. OFP know what it takes to pull off a spectacular show, so here are some best practices we try to uphold.
BE PUNCTUAL
For anything and everything; know your call time, the show order (posted nearly everywhere backstage), the entrance time for your number, and the schedule for the finale. Stay backstage in your designated area so the directors and production crew always know where to find you. Make sure to account for one another onstage and let the stage manager know that everyone is present (stage right and stage left) and ready to go on cue.BE AWARE
The stage is a crowded, busy, active place with blinding, bright lights and instant dark… always when you least expect it. If you're telling yourself you're not in anyone's way, check again - you probably are.
Stand behind the ready line and away from the stage entrances and exits.
If you can see the audience, they can see you. Be conscious of audience sight lines when you are onstage or backstage.
Always stand up backstage. Only sit if there is a designated seating area. Performers exiting the stage may be temporarily blind as their eyes adjust to the change in lighting, and anyone sitting on the floor out of their line of sight becomes a dangerous, unseen obstacle.
Stay clear of the curtains, theater drapery, and equipment. The audience will see even the tiniest movement.
Enter and exit quickly but quietly. Open backstage doors carefully so that you aren’t opening them into someone’s face and so that light from offstage does not interfere with the lighting onstage.
Keep backstage areas clear for fast stage transitions or fast costume changes.
Let crew members know if something is misplaced, breaks, spills, or is missing so it can be promptly repaired, replaced, located, or cleaned up. The stage manager can give you extra time for a costume change or allow for something to be fixed, but only if the crew is made aware.
The stage is for PERFORMERS AND CREW ONLY! There is NO backstage access for anyone else before, during, or after the show. Anyone onstage or backstage must be approved by the production crew in advance. Let family members and friends know that they are not permitted backstage and must remain in the front of house. They can see you after the show.
For everyone's safety, if you see something, say something. If someone or something looks out of place or like they don't belong, let the production team know.
BE QUIET
Sound travels easily to the house where the audience is seated. If you absolutely must talk, speak very softly. Respect the work of your fellow performers.BE SAFE AND INJURY-FREE
Make sure your body is properly warmed up and that you stay warm as show time approaches. You can ask the stage manager for permission to warm up quietly on stage before the opening curtain but be cautious and avoid over-extending or overstressing. Avoid running, leaps, somersaults, flips, or tumbling moves.BE ORGANIZED
Make sure you have enough time for costume changes and getting into the wings. The show sequence always includes at least 2 numbers between each performer, which should be plenty of time. If you need more time, let the producer(s), stage manager, or stage crew know - we'll have the solution.
Make sure your personal props or costumes are properly set before the show begins.
Organize your costumes in the order of the show.
Always be ready to go for your next performance. If you're in more than one performance, change immediately into your next costume once you get backstage.
If you have hair or makeup that’s going to be challenging, see the stage crew and they can help you prepare for your next performance.
Keep up with your belongs and pur your name in all costume pieces and shoes! The crew can only return things that were accidentally left behind if they know who they belong to.
BE CONSIDERATE
ONLY WATER IS ALLOWED BACKSTAGE! Food is only allowed in the dressing area as long as you are considerate to those around you. Clean up around your area backstage. Any and all food items must be in the trash before you leave the show.BE COURTEOUS
"Please" and "thank you" go a long way to accomplishing everything you want and need. Respect the way every performer gets ready for a show. Leave other performers' costumes or props alone. Take time to wish your fellow performers and crew members a good show (always "break a leg," never "good luck").
The stage managers, stage crew, and light and sound techs have one and only one job; to make you look your best. Listen to them. Respect them. Appreciate them. When a crew member ask you to do something or gives you direction, trust that the only reason is for the good of the show.
